Frozen Charlies
These dolls were produced by many doll manufacturers in many sizes and different types of porcelain beginning around 1850. Unmarked and unclothed dolls were also called "Bathing Dolls," "Pillar Dolls" "Teacup Dolls" or Frozen Charlie or Frozen Charlotte" Can be white, tinted or black in color and can be sitting, standing or lying in a bathtub. They float in water although made of heavy porcelain.
